The scan didn't read my label

Small or moulded text is hard for any camera. Turn on the torch in the scanner and tilt the phone so the light rakes across the label, or choose a sharp photo instead. You can always type the numbers in: the Wh, or the mAh and voltage.

The Wh looks wrong

Check that the mAh you see is the battery's capacity (next to 3.6–3.85 V), not the smaller 5 V "rated capacity". The app marks how sure it is: High (a printed Wh), Computed (mAh × V) or Assumed (no voltage on the label, so a range is shown).

My airline isn't listed

Choose ICAO (other international airlines) or FAA (other US flights). Your airline may be stricter. Tell us which airline to add.

An airline rule is out of date

Email us the airline and a link to its page. We re-check every airline monthly and update the app and this table the same day a rule changes.

Recall results

"No recall found" means no match in CPSC battery recalls since 2024 up to the date shown. It isn't a safety guarantee. Recalls that cover only some serial numbers ask you to check yours.
