Power Bank Check ("the App") is published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). The short version: everything about you and your batteries stays on your iPhone. We collect nothing, and there is no account.
1. Camera and photos
With your permission, the App uses the camera to read the text on a battery's label. The text is recognised on your iPhone. If you save a battery, a small photo of its label is stored with it on your device. If you choose a photo instead, only that photo is read. Nothing is uploaded.
2. What the App downloads
The App downloads two public files from our website (airline rules and a curated recall list) and asks the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's public recall service (saferproducts.gov) for recent battery recalls. These requests contain no information about you or your batteries; matching happens on your iPhone.
3. Notifications
If you turn on recall watch, the App checks your saved batteries on your iPhone and shows a local notification when one matches a recall. No push server is involved.
4. Data stored on your device
- Batteries: name, type, brand, model, serial number, capacity, the label text and photo, and recall status.
- Checks and trips: the airlines you chose and the verdicts.
- Preferences: your airline, settings and whether you have Premium.
None of it leaves your iPhone unless you share a verdict card yourself. Deleting the App deletes all of it.
5. No analytics, no trackers
The App contains no analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporters or third-party trackers, and shows no ads. We operate no servers that hold user data.
6. Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple tells the App whether you have Premium; we never see your payment details or Apple ID.
7. Children
The App is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
